Portfolio8 Connect has been created to bring together businesses, professionals, entrepreneurs, service providers and community members who believe that strong relationships create better opportunities.
Our network exists to help members build genuine business connections, discover new opportunities, exchange value, and grow together within a trusted environment.
Every member contributes to the quality and reputation of our community. These Network Guidelines explain the standards of behaviour expected from everyone who uses the Platform.
By participating in Portfolio8 Connect, you agree to conduct yourself professionally, honestly and respectfully at all times.
These Guidelines should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

3. Member Conduct
Every member agrees to behave in a professional and ethical manner.
Members must:
communicate honestly
treat others respectfully
honour commitments
protect confidential information
comply with applicable laws
cooperate with Platform investigations where reasonably requested
use the Platform for legitimate business and networking purposes
Members must not:
harass or intimidate others
threaten violence
use abusive language
bully another member
discriminate against any person
impersonate another individual or business
create fake accounts
submit false information
intentionally mislead other members
manipulate ratings or reviews
misuse confidential information
Professional disagreements are expected from time to time.
Personal attacks are not acceptable.
4. Business Integrity
Portfolio8 Connect relies upon trust.
Members should always ensure that:
products are accurately described
services are honestly represented
pricing is transparent
qualifications are genuine
licences are current where required
business registrations remain accurate
contact details are up to date
False advertising damages every member of the network.
Any deliberate misrepresentation may result in disciplinary action.
5. Trading Standards
Members are expected to trade fairly and professionally.
Where members agree to buy, sell or exchange products or services they should:
clearly communicate pricing
explain all relevant conditions
honour agreed commitments
respond within a reasonable timeframe
deliver products or services as promised
communicate promptly if delays occur
issue invoices where appropriate
maintain appropriate records
Members should seek to resolve disagreements directly before escalating issues.
6. Communication Standards

Members should:
respond politely
communicate clearly
avoid offensive language
respect cultural differences
remain courteous during disagreements
avoid excessive promotional messaging
Constructive feedback is encouraged.
Abusive communication is not.
7. Reviews and Recommendations
Reviews help members make informed decisions.
Reviews should:
reflect genuine experiences
be truthful
be respectful
avoid personal attacks
focus on facts rather than emotion
Members must never:
purchase fake reviews
create false testimonials
offer incentives for misleading reviews
submit reviews for transactions that never occurred
Portfolio8 Connect may remove reviews that breach these Guidelines.
8. Connector, Ambassador and Affiliate Standards
Members participating in referral or promotional programs carry additional responsibilities.
They should always:
represent Portfolio8 Connect honestly
explain the Platform accurately
disclose referral relationships where appropriate
avoid misleading income claims
avoid high-pressure sales tactics
encourage informed decision-making
Members must never guarantee financial outcomes or exaggerate earning potential.
Success depends upon each individual's effort, experience and business circumstances.
9. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are prohibited.
Members must not use the Platform for:
fraud
scams
deceptive conduct
money laundering
financing unlawful activities
identity theft
phishing
hacking
malware distribution
spam
pyramid schemes
Ponzi schemes
counterfeit goods
stolen property
unlawful gambling
illegal financial products
unauthorised investment schemes
sale of prohibited goods
violent or extremist content
hate speech
harassment
exploitation
unlawful discrimination
activities that breach applicable laws
Portfolio8 Connect reserves the right to immediately restrict or terminate accounts involved in prohibited conduct.
10. Intellectual Property
Respect the work of others.
Members must only upload content they own or have permission to use.
Do not copy another member's:
branding
logos
photographs
marketing materials
software
designs
written content
videos
Respecting intellectual property strengthens innovation across the community.
11. Privacy and Confidentiality
Members frequently exchange commercial information.
Treat confidential information with care.
Unless authorised:
do not disclose another member's private information
do not misuse customer information
do not share confidential business documents
do not publish private conversations
Always respect applicable privacy laws.
12. Building Trust
Trust is earned over time.
Portfolio8 Connect encourages members to build credibility through:
consistent professionalism
prompt communication
reliable service
quality outcomes
positive member experiences
honest dealings
constructive participation
Members who consistently demonstrate these qualities contribute to a stronger network for everyone.
13. Reporting Concerns
If you become aware of conduct that may place members at risk, we encourage you to report it promptly.
Examples include:
suspected scams
fake businesses
harassment
fraud
impersonation
misleading conduct
unlawful activity
repeated breaches of these Guidelines
Reports should be made honestly and in good faith.
Portfolio8 Connect will review reports fairly and objectively.
14. Enforcement
Where these Guidelines are breached, Portfolio8 Connect may take appropriate action.
Depending upon the seriousness of the conduct, action may include:
providing education or guidance
issuing a warning
requesting corrective action
temporarily restricting Platform access
suspending member privileges
removing content
terminating membership
reporting unlawful conduct to relevant authorities where required
Each matter will be assessed on its individual circumstances.
Our objective is to protect the integrity of the Platform while acting fairly and consistently.
15. Changes to these Guidelines
As Portfolio8 Connect evolves, these Guidelines may be updated to reflect new features, legal requirements, industry standards or community expectations.
Updated versions will become effective once published on the Platform.
Members are encouraged to review these Guidelines periodically.
